A headline should:

• it must grab the reader's attention
• it must be short
• it must relate to the story

2. Writing the story

Write a story for one of the following headlines:

• Robot caterpillar helps disaster victims
• Sheep are brainy - honest!
• Owl experts worried about Potter

3. Make the newscast

• What do they show on a newscast?

Watch a newscast

• What do they talk about?
• Are there headlines?
• What are they wearing?
• What is in the background?

4. Brainstorm a story!
